Iran officially denounces EU parliamentary delegation

TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (MNA) – Iran has summoned Greece’s chargé d'affaires for comments on EU parliamentary delegation visit to 2009 presidential election convicts
Mehr News reported that EU parliamentary delegation had met some of 2009 presidential election unrest convicts in Greece embassy.
The head of European office of foreign ministry believed that the EU parliamentary delegation action was unacceptable and contradictory to the good will of the delegation.
The Office summoned Greece’s chargé d'affaires in Tehran to express dissatisfaction about the EU parliamentary delegation action.
The chargé d'affaires emphasized upon the necessity of respecting the rules of Islamic Republic of Iran and said he would convey the message to the EU officials and EU parliament.
The EU parliamentary delegation had met Nasrin Sotoudeh and Jafar Panahi, two convicts of 2009 presidential election unrest. The meeting angered the Parliamentarians in Iran and political activists.
The EU parliamentary delegation met with different officials, Parliamentarians and the Judiciary officials.
