27th International Islamic Unity Conference kicks off

Attended by religious leaders from across the world, the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference was opened in the Iranian capital of Tehra
n to discuss the issues of Muslim world and ways to boost solidarity among different denominations. The three-day conference is held with the theme of Qur'an and its role on unity of Islamic Ummah (nation), reported CINVU.
Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 27th international Islamic Unity Conference, President Hasan Rohani underscored that Islam Prophet (PBUH) lifestyle is by far the best model for Muslims, reported CINVU. Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will deliver speech to officially open the ceremony. Religious leaders, Muslim thinkers and prominent scholars from 50 countries across the world are due to discuss the latest issues of Muslims in the three-day event which will also include participation in Tehran's Friday prayer and visit with the supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Situation in Syria, Bahrain and Palestine besides the issue of Takfir (excommunication) and also desecration of religious sanctities are among the topics to be discussed in the three-day event. Annual International Islamic Unity Conference is held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), dubbed as Islamic Unity Week.
